As part of the SeaWilding Conference team, you will play a key role in making sure attendees feel welcome and connected. You will be the face of SW during the conference and you will also have the opportunity to gain professional experience and learn from world-renowned experts.
- 60% of your time will be dedicated to supporting the organization of SeaWilding Conference.
- The other 40% will be free for you to network, attend sessions and networking events.
Role expectations
As an assistant, you are requested to be available each day from 23-25 October 2025, on-site, at Faculty of Biology - University of Barcelona and Auditorium - Vertex Building - UPC or at Port Olìmpic (side-event) in Barcelona, Spain.
To become an assistant, you must be 21 of age as of 23 October 2025.
Your role will be to perform and assist with various tasks throughout the event. The main responsibilities are:
- Assisting speakers and presenters to set up their sessions
- Scanning delegate badges
- Helping participants to navigate the venue
- Welcoming guests
- Ensuring event registration
- Supporting with small scale logistical tasks
- Helping with communications and digital platforms
- Setting up closed meetings and mingle eventsYou will be assigned a daily shift for the duration of the Event and you will be briefed in advance on your role. We will do our best to assign roles according to your strengths and interests, but we cannot guarantee that you will have the role you were hoping for.
Additionally, as much as we try to plan, changes to the schedule will happen; you might need to cover for a colleague or support with an urgent task. We appreciate that you remain flexible with your time and available for last-minute requests and changes.
